Guides
Before you start
- Install AgentAlarm (version 1.1 or later) on your iPhone and sign in with Apple.
- The server URL is
https://alarm.achub.net/mcp. It is a remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP) and signs in with OAuth. - Questions? See the Support page or write to [email protected].
How sign-in works
- Add the URL to your agent. The steps for each agent are below.
- The agent opens a sign-in page in your browser. It shows a QR code and a short code.
- Approve it on your iPhone. Scan the QR code with the camera, which opens AgentAlarm, or tap MCP in the app and enter the code. Check that the code matches the screen, then tap Allow. This needs AgentAlarm version 1.1 or later.
- The sign-in page sends you back to your agent, which is now connected.
There is no password to enter. Each connected agent gets its own key and shows up under Settings → Connected Agents in the app. Swipe left on it and tap Disconnect and the key stops working right away.
Claude (claude.ai and the Claude apps)
- Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Name it AgentAlarm and enter the URL
https://alarm.achub.net/mcp. - Click Connect. The sign-in page opens: approve it on your iPhone as described above.
- In a chat, turn the AgentAlarm connector on and ask for a reminder.
Claude Code
- Run this command in your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http agentalarm https://alarm.achub.net/mcp - In Claude Code, type
/mcp, select agentalarm and choose Authenticate. - Approve the connection on your iPhone. Claude Code then lists the AgentAlarm tools.
ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT, open Settings → Connectors. If your account asks for it, turn on developer mode.
- Create a connector with the URL
https://alarm.achub.net/mcpand OAuth as the sign-in method. No client ID or secret is needed. - Sign in on the page that opens: approve it on your iPhone.
- In a chat, add the connector and ask for a reminder.
Which of these options you see depends on your ChatGPT plan and workspace settings.
Cursor and VS Code
Cursor: add this to .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or to ~/.cursor/mcp.json for all projects:
{
"mcpServers": {
"agentalarm": { "url": "https://alarm.achub.net/mcp" }
}
}
VS Code: add this to .vscode/mcp.json, or run MCP: Add Server from the Command Palette and choose HTTP:
{
"servers": {
"agentalarm": { "type": "http", "url": "https://alarm.achub.net/mcp" }
}
}
Your editor opens the sign-in page the first time it connects. Approve it on your iPhone.
Another way for coding agents: a setup link
Coding agents that can edit their own MCP settings can skip the browser:
- In AgentAlarm, tap MCP at the top of your reminder list and tap Copy.
- Paste the text into your agent’s chat. The agent opens the setup link, gets its own key and adds AgentAlarm as an MCP server.
A setup link works once and expires 30 minutes after you create it. It works with every version of the app.
Example prompts
- “Ring my iPhone if the deploy fails.”
- “Notify me when this long task finishes.”
- “Remind me at 7:30 tomorrow to call the bank.”
- “Show a countdown to my flight on Friday.”
- “What reminders do I have today?”
An urgent alert rings your iPhone like an alarm clock, through Silent mode and Focus, until you tap Done or Snooze. Everything else arrives as a normal notification.
What the tools do
alert: sends you a notification now, or sets a reminder for a time you name. It can ring like an alarm, show a countdown and carry a color, icon, sound, place and details. It only reaches your own iPhone.list_alarms: reads your reminders and the notifications sent in the last 24 hours, with the current time and your time zone. It changes nothing.update_alarm: changes a reminder, for example its time, texts or sound.cancel_alarm: stops a reminder so it no longer rings. It stays in your history as cancelled.rename_agent: changes the name that shows up in the app for what the agent sends.create_alarm: the older name ofalert, kept so agents set up earlier keep working.
Not for safety-critical use
AgentAlarm is not for safety-critical or medical alarms. Do not rely on it for medication, emergencies or anything where a missed alert could cause harm. Delivery depends on your network, your iPhone settings and Apple’s services.
Privacy, terms and support
AgentAlarm keeps only what it needs to deliver your reminders, and shows no ads and does no tracking. Read the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use. For help, see Support or write to [email protected].
AgentAlarm is made by an independent developer and is not affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI, Anysphere or Microsoft.
