The alarm doesn’t ring

  1. Open AgentAlarm once after installing or updating it. This registers your iPhone so alerts can reach it.
  2. In the app, open Settings → Permissions. If it says Not Allowed, tap it and allow Alarms and Notifications. A “Urgent reminders won’t ring” banner above your list means the same thing.
  3. Check that the reminder is Urgent. Normal reminders arrive as notifications and don’t ring like an alarm.
  4. Urgent alarms ring through Silent mode and Focus. If one still stays quiet during a Focus, open iPhone Settings → Focus, choose that Focus and allow AgentAlarm.
  5. Alerts go to the iPhone where you signed in most recently.

How to connect an agent

  1. In AgentAlarm, tap MCP at the top of your reminder list.
  2. Tap Copy.
  3. Paste the text into your agent’s chat. The agent opens the link, gets its own key and adds AgentAlarm as an MCP server.
  4. Ask it for a reminder, for example “Ring me in 10 minutes”. It appears in the app with the agent’s name.

Your agent needs to support remote MCP servers with a request header, or be able to make HTTP requests. Works with AI agents that support MCP — for example Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and Grok-based bots. AgentAlarm is not affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI, Anysphere, Microsoft or xAI.

The agent says the link expired

Setup links work once and expire 30 minutes after you create them. Tap MCP again to get a fresh link and paste the new text. Some agents only see AgentAlarm after they reload their MCP servers or start a new session.

How to disconnect an agent

Open Settings → Connected Agents, swipe left on the agent and tap Disconnect. Its key stops working right away. Reminders it already created stay in your list.

Limits

AgentAlarm has generous daily limits on how many reminders can be created and how many can ring on one day. If an agent hits one, it gets a clear message and tells you which limit it was and what to do, for example finish a few reminders or try again tomorrow.

How to delete your account

In the app, open Settings → Delete Account. This removes your account, reminders and connected agents from the server right away, and asks Apple to revoke Sign in with Apple for AgentAlarm. You can also remove AgentAlarm from Sign in with Apple in your Apple Account settings.

Data and privacy

AgentAlarm keeps only what it needs to deliver your reminders, and shows no ads and does no tracking. Read the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use. Questions about your data: [email protected].
